Dr. Chandran grew up in Saskatchewan. He obtained his Bachelor of Science and was awarded the University of Saskatchewan President's Gold Medal as the top graduate. In 2001, he completed medical school at the University of Saskatchewan and obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with Great Distinction.
