The term chiropractic literally means practicing using the hands. Chiropractic is about treating the root of the problem, not the symptoms. Chiropractors are professionals trained to take thorough history, diagnose and treat neck, back, headaches and other musculoskeletal conditions also including extremities (arms and legs).
Physiotherapy
Report
Physiotherapy is a treatment that involves using advanced electrical nerve stimulation therapy for quick pain relief from joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Ultrasound therapy may also be used to reduce inflammation and reduce swelling by dissolving scar tissue and adhesions for acute pain.

Once you can tolerate the pain level it is important that you stretch out the tight muscles and do active exercises to strengthen the injured muscle area.Home exercises will be advised. Studies have shown great results treating musculoskeletal conditions by physiotherapy exercises with a combination of chiropractic care to restore physical function of the body and prevent from re-injuries.
Massage Therapy
Report
Massage is great in combination with your chiropractic care. While chiropractic focuses on the relationship between the spine and its impact on the nervous system, massage focuses on the 640 muscles of the body. Both disciplines work together to help keep the body in proper alignment, balance and function.
Acupuncture
Report
Originating from China and now practiced world-wide, acupuncture is an ancient form of alternative medicine based on the premise of maintaining balance with the body's Qi (energy). In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Qi is one of the many components vital to preserving a healthy life.

When the body is functioning optimally, Qi flows smoothly through the body's meridian where there are acupuncture points with energetic properties to either stimulate or sedate the body.A disturbance in the flow of Qi is believed to be the root cause of many ailments. To stimulate acupuncture points, thin needles are inserted into the body and manipulated to reach the 'De Qi' sensation (arrival of Qi).
