Since 2002, Rosewood Studio has provided aspiring furniture makers of all skill levels the opportunity to improve their abilities under the guidance of accomplished professional furniture makers and designers. Located about an hour's drive outside of Canada's capital city of Ottawa in the beautiful and historic town of Perth, Ontario, Rosewood has attracted students from across Canada and more than twenty countries around the world.
For nineteen years now, they have come to Rosewood for intensive programs that pack the maximum amount of technical instruction into each curriculum. Our facilities are designed specifically to provide a safe and comfortable environment for learning the craft of fine furniture making. The bench room is equipped with top quality hand tools, traditional cabinetmaker's benches and an abundance of natural light.

After studying at the Ontario College of Art, Ron worked as a commercial photographer and graphic designer before turning his attention to furniture. In 1987 he started Carriage House Designs, designing and building limited production and commissioned furniture for clients in both Canada and the United States.
