Sunset Sands has been providing exceptional camping experiences in Port Hood, Nova Scotia since our establishment. Our 104 full-service RV sites and 12 unserviced tenting sites offer modern amenities including 3-way service hookups, free Wi-Fi, and laundry facilities. Guests enjoy access to adult and children's saltwater pools from mid-June to mid-September, complemented by central bathroom/shower facilities and recreational areas. Strategically located just thirty minutes north of the Canso Causeway, we serve as the perfect base for exploring Cape Breton's natural wonders and cultural attractions. Our commitment to quality is demonstrated through our well-maintained grounds featuring playgrounds, picnic areas, fitness centers, and fire pits for guest enjoyment. We specialize in connecting visitors with Eastern Canada's warmest waters through our proximity to five local beaches, two of which are within walking distance.

Our seasonal operation from Victoria Day Weekend to Thanksgiving Day Weekend aligns with Cape Breton's prime tourism season, offering guests access to annual events like the Chestico Days Summer Festival and Lobster Picnic.
