Dion grew up on the BC North Coast in Prince Rupert. Moving to Victoria in 1989, Dion studied at Camosun College and articled at the accounting firm, Firth & Stouwer. Dion began public practice in 1990, attaining his accounting designation in 1994. Since then, he has worked as an accountant in the greater community, serving on audit and finance committees for various non-profit organizations.
Dion has offered seminars for the Bookkeepers Association as well as owners of small businesses and rental property owners. Owning and managing his own accounting firm, Pomponio & Company, Dion is kept very busy. However, Dion also dedicates time to volunteer with the homebound, youth, and other groups in in the local community.
