Joined the ALC in 2003, Dr. Martin is an Interventional Radiologist and performs the Endovenous Laser Treatment (EVLT TM) as a replacement for surgery in patients with large varicose veins. He also works full time at St. Paul's Hospital. Joined the ALC in 2007. Mimi has an educational background in nursing, and aesthetics.

We carry over 25 different devices in our clinic that are catered to treat most skin types. Consultations are necessary to determine the best treatment options for you. Consultation assessments are performed by either a doctor or skin technician who have years of experience in the laser and skin industry.
Hair Removal

Laser energy is selectively being absorbed in the pigment of the hair shaft and follicle. The laser is pulsed for only a fraction of a second, long enough to injure the follicle but not long enough for excess heat to be transferred to the skin surrounding the hair follicle. The result is safe and effective hair removal.

We are having some really good success on blond and red hair, but we assess on a case by case basis. If you have lighter coloured hair, we won't even attempt to treat if you have ANY tan. We have had technology for more than 15 years that would allow us to treat Oprah's bikini line! We can only treat the growth that you have, not the growth that you are going to get as you age.
