Saigon Optical was started 30 years ago by Sam and Dianna Pham, now licensed opticians who immigrated to Canada from Vietnam in 1981. Together, their passion for business strongly motivated them to start their own small, independent optical store in the heart of Toronto, Ontario.
Initially the business was catered to a small downtown core community, but Sam and Dianna's growing experience and passion in the field led them to pursue further ventures for their optical.With their knowledge in eyecare, they wanted to continue reaching out to more of the Toronto communities to help improve vision and positively impact quality of life.

Our Doctor

Dr. Arthur Pham was born and raised in Toronto to a family devoted to eyecare. Naturally, that led him to pursue a career as an eye doctor. He was determined to continue providing quality eyecare to his community, as his family has been doing for the past 30 years. Beyond that, Dr. Pham aspires to further transform Saigon Optical and Eyelike Optical into a place where patients of all ages can receive quality and comprehensive eyecare.

Routine comprehensive eye exams are important for maintaining not only your excellent vision, but your overall eye health. The goal of your trusted eye doctor is to ensure you leave at the end of the exam seeing as clearly as your eyes possibly can. Adults, seniors, and children should have eye exams performed routinely every 1 to 2 years.
Retinal Imaging

Our North York office is equipped with a high-resolution retinal imaging device called the Optomap Retinal Scan (or OPTOS for short), a modern advancement in eyecare technology. The OPTOS is able to take a detailed, wide-field photo of the back of the eye (retina). Normally, a standard dilated fundus exam or traditional fundus camera gives us only a 15-30% view of the retina at a time.
