Calgary Vision Therapy
Welcome to Calgary's only neuro-cognitive optometric and perceptual learning clinic, Calgary Vision Therapy. Providing Developmental Optometry services, Dr. Brent W. Neufeld started Calgary Vision Therapy to help you achieve your potential. Did you know that over 80% of all the information that reaches your brain is through the visual system?

If your visual system is not working efficiently, your achieving potential may be limited. Having 20/20 sight does not mean that your vision is fine and that your vision has nothing to do with your perceptual or learning difficulties. Intensive in office optometric vision therapy will help improve most visual skills.

What Is Vision Therapy
Report
Vision Therapy is an individualized, supervised, treatment program designed to correct visual-motor and/or perceptual-cognitive deficiencies. Visual-motor skills and endurance are developed through the use of specialized computer and optical devices, including therapeutic lenses, prisms, and filters.
Eye Tracking Difficulties
Report
Eye Tracking describes skills that we use every day to explore our environment, play sports, and most importantly, TO READ. Children with tracking problems have not learned to control the fine eye movements to follow a line of print. They will often lose their place, skip or transpose words, and have difficulty comprehending because of their difficulty moving their eyes accurately.
Vision and Learning
Report
How the brain and eyes work together - vision - has a great impact on the learning process for both children and adults. Imagine sitting in a classroom taking notes and fighting a focusing problem that won't allow you to change your focus from near to far and back again quickly enough to keep up with the instructor.
