As first-time homeowners embarking on a renovation, we were keen to find an experienced and trustworthy renovator, particularly as we planned to live in our home through the renovation. We wanted to work with someone who would be organized, thorough, and able to complete a job on schedule. After meeting with a few contractors, we decided to go with Andrei and his team from Sosna because of their transparency, detailed processes, and professionalism. Sosna uses detailed forms and checklists at every stage, which helped guide us through the process and ensured nothing was missed.

Every step of the renovation process from design to final walkthrough was smooth. We enjoyed our weekly meetings with designer Chantal and assistant Tiffany, who understood our style and presented a beautiful vision for our kitchen and master ensuite.

The construction team was skilled and professional. They kept a very tidy job site, were respectful of our home, and were friendly toward to our young child and nervous dog, which was greatly appreciated. We were so thankful to work with site manager Adam Gustof, who was kind, hard-working, meticulous, and kept us updated on the projects progress with frequent communication. Adam was able to address potential issues before they became problems. For example, prior to installation of our kitchen backsplash, he noticed a discrepancy and had the installers remeasure and cut the piece to his satisfaction by the next day.

Our project finished ahead of schedule, and we are absolutely thrilled with the result. We plan on enjoying these beautiful and functional spaces for many years to come. We had high expectations going into our renovation, and Sosna exceeded them. We would not hesitate to recommend Sosna and will use them again for any future renovation needs.

Six months into our new kitchen and bathroom, we noted a couple of minor concerns/imperfections. Within a week of reaching out to Sosna, they promptly sent team members to address the concerns. It is refreshing to see a company have such a robust warranty policy, and we continue to be impressed with Sosna's professionalism.

Its been 6 years since Sosna planned and built us a fantastic primary en-suite bathroom. Recently, the hose on our hand-held shower head sprang a leak so we turned back to Sosna to help source us a replacement part. Within one day, Olga our designer, gave us 3 different supplier choices, ordered the hose we chose and personally delivered the part to us faster than we expected. Once again, Sosna service is timely & perfect. Always easy & a pleasure to deal with.

My wife and I had our kitchen and family room renovated by Sosna. They have a tried and proven process which helps to ensure success. Before construction work began, there was a good period dedicated to creating the design and a detailed plan which were then used throughout construction. In this way there were no major surprises and nothing was allowed to fall through the cracks. The team was in constant communication with us and with each other. Any questions or potential problems were dealt with by examining alternatives and discussing them with us before proceeding with a solution. In particular, it was great to be working with the core team dedicated to our project: Olga our designer, Dmitry our site supervisor and Leo our project coordinator. They were continually pushing our project forward with an eye for detail and quality all the way through to completion. Having had the typical bad experiences with contractors in the past, we wanted to find that a company that would do what they said, for the price they quoted, be on time, with no awkward conversations or arguments; Sosna is that company!

The owner, Andrei, runs his company the ideal way: everything is documented, timetables are set, pictures are taken, permits are obtained, staff are well-trained and experienced. The entire process was throughly explained, and documented for our reference at any time.

The process began in September with planning and the selection of the material with our designer, Olga. The renovation included a shower rebuild, hallways on both levels, staircases on both levels, family room, and kitchen and pantry. Olga took the time to throughly understand how we used the spaces in our home to make sure the design would work for our lifestyle.

Construction began in January with Leo as the Project Manager, Vitaliy as the Site Supervisor, and Dmitry (Dima) as Quality Control. The crew was excellent and were always respectful of the fact that they were in our home and treated it accordingly. We were kept informed of the progress at all times, and construction finished on time in May.

At the time of writing, Olga and Leo are still in contact with us to correct any details that may have been missed.

As with anything, there is a contrast between cost and quality; Sosna will give you the best value for your money and the comfort to know you made the right decision.

Sosna delivers exceptional results. Their attention to detail is remarkable, ensuring high-quality work. I also found them very punctual and respectful, and they left the worksite spotless. One of the projects was to remove and close a barn door between two rooms and it is now impossible to see where the opening used to be. They made sure to find the right baseboard and the right finish to ensure a perfect match, and also insulated the wall.
They also gave me objective and disinterested advice against redesigning my kitchen in a way that would have made the range hood less efficient.
I will choose Sosna again as I can be confident that my home projects will be completed on time, on schedule, and to the highest standards.

Andrei and his team at Sosna completed a major renovation at my home in Markham.
From start to finish everything was well planned and organozed. I was kept in constant communication as the work progressed and any issue which emerged was quickly resolved. I especially want to thank Boris for the work he did both inside and outside the home. Olga for her advise, patience and recommendations with the design and finishes. We purchased our house and moved in September 2022. After a year of getting used to it, we found to 2 main areas that we wanted to improve so we could more fully enjoy our home. Our kitchen - family room area was not large enough, oriented the wrong way and not as functional as we wanted. Secondly, the ensuite bathroom for the master suite had previously been renovated and a bathtub was installed on an angle, there was an unused sealed space above the shower, both making the room feel cramped and awkward.
We contacted Sosna to request a quote for adding an extension to the back of the house to make a larger more useable family room, more functional kitchen area and to suggest how to improve the ensuite. Andrei came to our house, we showed him around and told him what we wanted to do. He then asked us, instead of want we want to do, what is our desired outcome. Once we explained, Andrei suggested instead of adding an extension to the back of the house, to remove an existing load bearing wall to incorporate a hallway into the family room space and add a beam and post for structural integrity. He also suggested moving the wall between the ensuite and the master about 11 inches so that the ensuite could be properly reconfigured.
We went through a detailed design/planning process with Olga to come up with a solution that was both very functional and looked very attractive. After agreeing on a budget and scope we started the 5 month project. As we progressed with the demolition and through the build, a few other problems were uncovered or encountered, but Sosna always found a good solution and there was only a very slight change in the scope and cost. Our onsite supervisor Dimitri and project manager Leo found very creative ways to ensure that the work for does to our satisfaction.
Towards the end of the project, we encountered a few delays that were caused by a subcontractor. Sosna did their best to correct the problems and make things right. Since the completion, we have had a couple of items that needed attention, Sosna has been very quick in addressing these issues and resolving them.
We are very satisfied with the end result and would strongly recommend Sonsa for your renovation needs.

We initially met with Andie and after considering the alternatives, there was no comparison. Our first renvoation was our whole main floor including a complete kitchen remodel. From day one, they were a pleasure to work with, The job came in on time and on budget. That was not to say there were not a few surprises along they way. The team communicated clearly when they arose and gave us a clear plan to address them. Even with the surprises, the renovation came in on time. This was ten years ago. Since then, we had to other renovations. We went right back to Sosna with no hesitation. They are pleasure to work with. We recommend them to all our friends, without hesitation. We had an exceptional experience working with Sosna for our home renovation. Sosna completed a full renovation of the master bathroom, two other full bathrooms, home gym and replaced the hardwood flooring on two floors. From start to finish, the team was professional, attentive, and committed to delivering quality results. Designer Camila was a pleasure to work withher creative ideas were fantastic, and she skillfully balanced our vision with our budget. Our remodeled bathroom is worthy of any architectural magazine. Our designer, Camila, had an exacting eye and fabulous suggestions that all came together to deliver us a fabulous retreat. No one would realize the extent of the work that was done to complete this project. The original bathroom was demolished to the joists and built back according to schedule, with all work completed by a talented and coordinated crew of professionals. These guys restored our faith in contractors. They never missed an opportunity to display the professionalism of their customer support staff. Communication was above anything you would normally expect: clear, friendly and concise. The way they behaved buffered the disturbance that any remodel causes. We will be back with more projects and were not just saying that because of their final champagne toast, shared in the finished product. We do not, as a rule, make recommendations but it would be wrong not to recommend Sosna.

Weve never owned a house before, and we wanted to make sure that we were making the right choice by taking out a mortgage to fix up the house that I inherited from my father. We knew it needed a lot of work, and we were looking for a team to help guide us through every step of the process. Things started on the right foot when we had our initial call with Andrei. After our call, he asked to meet us at the home to do a walk-through, where he informally interviewed us to see if our project would be a good fit. In addition to answering our millions of questions (and giving us a lot of green flags), he suggested that we perform a feasibility study to ensure we could do what we wanted within our budget. On top of that, he said theyd apply the cost against the design fee if we proceeded!

Once the feasibility study was completed, we were assigned Chantal and Tiffany as our designers. They presented us with two options that were not only on budget but also helped us achieve nearly everything we wanted. Chantal also understood that we wanted a home that spoke to our individual personalities and was a bit more fun, design-wise. Both Chantal and Tiffany were a joy to work with and gave us the best bathroom we could have hoped for and the most functional kitchen weve ever had the pleasure of cooking in!

During the building process, Leo and Sergei kept us informed (via Buildertrend or email) when things went sideways (which, thankfully, only happened twice, and both were due to quirks of living in a house built in the 60s), and Dante made sure we had options that were within our budget.

When people ask us about our experience, theyre shocked to hear that we not only had a great one but were also looking forward to working with the Sosna team again in the coming years (seriously, were already talking about when we can finish our basement!). Not only did they come in right on budget, but they finished a full month ahead of the initial schedule (nearly 2 months, if you include the delay caused by the surprise underpinning!) We cant recommend Andrei and the Sosna team enough, and were so happy to have our forever home.

Sosna has been my go-to contractor since 2009 and has completed several projects including a major addition in 2017, so who else would I trust but Sosna to put our flooded Toronto basement back in order?!

We are more than pleased with their work yet again on this basement restoration. They have made it even better than it was before. The attention to detail and high standards are exactly what you can expect from Sosna. They do not cut corners and are always looking for ways to make things better. You can trust when they suggest improvements to the plan that you will not be disappointed.

They may not be the least expensive contractor but I firmly believe that you get what you pay for - cheap contractors are not good and good contractors are not cheap!

We were doubly impressed with the workers who were always on time and kept to scheduled hours. Renovations can be very disruptive to your lives but Sosna goes above and beyond to respect your property and make the process as easy as they could. The basement furniture and boxes had to be moved several times to complete the restoration. The insurance company had already caused some additional damage when moving furniture but Sosna fixed those damages too! So very grateful!

When we decided to renovate both our tired 45+ year old primary bathrooms and our Master bedroom, it was important to us to find a renovation company that we felt was careful, trustworthy, timely, responsive and reliable. Our actual experience with Sosna in our recently completed reno was excellent as a result. We met Sosna team at their office at Improve Canada after we interviewed multiple companies as we were looking to renovate our entire house. We needed somebody to remove walls, add new steel beam, relocate the door out in the backyard, new bathrooms, etc.. After discussing with Andrei and Anna, their plan and approach made sense, we decided to go with Sosna and that was the best decision ever.

That was in 2017, and six years later into the present day,

We have loved our home for the last 10 years, but it was time to make some much-needed changes. The layout wasn't maximizing the space, and we found ourselves in one of those 'love it or list it' dilemmas. During construction, some minor adjustments were needed to the original plans. However, the team handled these with careful consideration and thoughtful decision-making. They were present on-site daily, often putting in extra hours to stay on track. The quality of their workmanship and attention to detail were impeccable.

Hiring Sosna was the best decision I have made as a homeowner. We did a large renovation of all 3 floors. Removing supporting walls to create an open concept. They designed and created a beautiful kitchen, and installed hardwood floors.
The quote was accurate, both for cost and amount of time needed to complete the project. There were major setbacks and obstacles that arose, (as always happens with big projects) but Sosna handled them quickly.
There was constant communication throughout the process, to ensure I was informed and happy about the work being done.
All the employees are friendly and approachable. They also keep the cleanest work site I have ever seen.
It has been 2 years since they completed the reno, and I know I can still call them for help with anything.

We recently purchased a house in Toronto which needed a complete interior renovation (ceilings, lighting, wall knockdowns, painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, tiling - 100% redo) while having no experience with this subject nor contractors in general. After online researching and doing our due diligence, we went with Sosna whom we would highly recommend (which we already have - our friends are now getting their home renovated with them). Andrei was very professional, respectful and thoroughly explained the entire process in our introductory calls. Our designer Anna was very sharp and straightforward which I greatly appreciated - we provided her with our likes, dislikes, she asked for our opinions when needed, we provided our feedback where needed and was overall fully autonomous. While we did not interact with the crew on a daily basis (we lived in our condo while the house was being renovated) - our weekly visits and experience with the team (Roman, Vitaliy, Gene, Boris) was excellent. Everyone was very polite and professional. One aspect that I really appreciated was how well organized Sosna was as a whole. Our house was logistically complicated to renovate, due to the busy and narrow Toronto residential streets as well as general layout (back in a wooded area, three floors above ground). You also typically hear nightmare stories of contractors taking forever to complete a job, or having two tradesmen come in twice a week for a few hours as they work on multiple projects at once. Sosna functioned like a proper construction company, fully devoted to our project (the team was there each day as necessary, 7am promptly) and would coordinate an entire team of people to guarantee that nothing was delayed. The quality of work was great, and if there were any issues or defects (which is a reality in any renovation, especially of that scale), they would come in and quickly address it. Overall, fantastic renovation experience and would undoubtedly use them again for another project.

After extensive research, I hired Sosna Inc to renovate my second floor bathrooms and walk-in closet. Due to the fact that I have a very tight timeline, I need to find a company who is not only excellent in workmanship, but also with a good track record of sticking to the schedules. Now that the project has completed, I am thrilled to say that Sosna Inc delivered everything that I have expected and more!

During the very first meeting with Andrei, I was impressed that he listened to our pain points and advised us to REALLY focus on what we actually need with the limited space we have.

During the design phase, our designer Olga really showed her commitment and dedication to making sure we have a functional layout, and that every inch of our limited space is made to good use. This is the first time that I have ever used a designer, and the modified layout is so clever that I could never thought about that myself. This alone is already worth every penny. Olga made numerous trips to my house to discuss all the plans and finishes down to the very last details, including the color of the grout, so we know there will be no surprise as everything is on the drawing.

Our project lead Victor is a gem. He is on site every day from 7:00 am. He is courteous, organized, and keeps the site clean before he leaves for the day. On rare occasion that he needed to be late, he always let me know in advance, so that I am prepared. I really appreciate it as this shows he really respect people's time. My family and I live in the house during the renovation, but we don't feel stressed, because firstly the dust is kept at minimal, secondly, we could see progress every day.

Roman the project manager came to my house every Thursday morning to check on the progress and to collect my feedback. All other trades used by Sosna are all very polite and very efficient.
