Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic

The Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic was established in 1988 by partners Dr. Dan Higginson and Dr. Cal Keil. The original office location was in the Beechwood Plaza on the corner of Erb St. W. and Fischer Hallman, and remained as such for 12 years. In 2000, the clinic was relocated to our current address at 404 Erb St. W. after demolition and major reconstruction to the existing property.

We wish Dan all the best in his retirement and will miss him at the clinic! The staff and doctors at Beechwood Chiropractic all wish Cal a successful surgery and speedy recovery! It all started in 1988 when Dr. Cal Keil and I created the Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic. What followed was a successful 33-year partnership.

The practice of Chiropractic is a drug-free, manual approach to health care that includes patient assessment, diagnosis and treatment. Chiropractors are doctors who practice the art of healing by adjusting, or manipulating, the spinal column and other joints of the body. Healthy, well aligned joints that move with full range of motion allow the nervous system to perform properly, which is vital because it controls every function of your body.

Subsequent to graduating from the University of Toronto with an honours Bachelor of Science degree, Dr. Higginson attended the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC), in Toronto, where he graduated with honours in 1988. An opportunity arose in 1989 for them to take over a rural practice in Linwood, Ontario, where they continue to practice today.

A past University of Waterloo honours graduate and varsity basketball player, Dr. Cal Keil returned to Waterloo after graduating from CMCC in 1988 to establish Beechwood Chiropractic Clinic with colleague and friend Dr. Dan Higginson. In 1989 they purchased a satellite practice in Linwood, Ontario to provide service for the Mennonite and rural community.
