Services
Physiotherapy
Our comprehensive physiotherapy services address musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and mobility limitations through personalized treatment plans. Using evidence-based techniques like manual therapy and therapeutic exercise, we help patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve overall physical function. With experienced therapists and advanced clinical training, we focus on restoring movement and reducing pain while educating patients about their conditions and prevention strategies.
Sports Physiotherapy
Specialized sports physiotherapy targets athletic injuries and performance optimization for both recreational and professional athletes. Our therapists employ sport-specific rehabilitation techniques, injury prevention strategies, and performance enhancement programs to ensure safe return to activity. Through biomechanical assessments and tailored exercise programs, we address common sports injuries while improving strength, flexibility, and overall athletic performance in a supportive, goal-oriented environment.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy utilizes acoustic waves to accelerate healing in musculoskeletal conditions like tendonitis and plantar fasciitis. This non-invasive treatment stimulates blood flow and tissue regeneration, effectively reducing chronic pain and improving mobility. Our certified therapists apply targeted shockwave energy to injured areas, promoting faster recovery without surgery. Patients typically experience symptom relief after several sessions, making it an efficient option for persistent soft tissue injuries resistant to conventional treatments.
Vestibular Physiotherapy
Vestibular rehabilitation addresses dizziness, vertigo, and balance disorders through specialized therapeutic exercises. Our trained physiotherapists conduct comprehensive assessments to identify inner ear dysfunction causes, then develop customized treatment plans to improve balance and reduce fall risk. Through gaze stabilization exercises and balance training, patients experience significant symptom reduction and improved confidence in daily activities, restoring their quality of life.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture services combine ancient Chinese medicine with modern physiotherapy to manage pain and promote healing. Our certified practitioners use fine needles to stimulate specific points, reducing inflammation, relieving muscle tension, and improving circulation. This holistic approach effectively treats chronic pain conditions, headaches, and stress-related disorders. Integrated with conventional physiotherapy techniques, acupuncture offers a complementary pathway to pain management and overall wellness in a comfortable clinical setting.

Not sure why I waited so long to see physiotherapy after working through family doctor for months on an achy Achilles tendon. Jenna had me sorted out in 30 minutes and Im confident that if I follow through with her program of in person treatment and at home stretching/strengthening Ill be pain free for the start of golf season.

Report
Kelly at 5th Ave Physio has been excellent as well as the other staff members. During an extensive issue with my back she correctly diagnosed the problem and provided referrals to other specialty clinics in Calgary to help speed up the healing process. Kelly is always professional, thorough and her expertise is always demonstrated during my visits to the clinic.

I had my second Physio appointment with Kelly Barrie. She was awesome! We reviewed my first weeks progress and we ran through some new exercises to test how I was doing. She modified the program to reflect where I was at. She was able to explain what was going on in my body and where we need to go and how we were going to get there.
