Canadian Shiatsu Society of BC created this development of shiatsu video to promote shiatsu therapy throughout the world. Shiatsu massage comes from Asia, Japan and treatment is very effective to loosen the tension in the muscles. When the therapist finds the knot, he presses and holds the pressure on the knot, then it gradually melts and disappears, which means your knots are no longer disturbing your muscle movement.

A Shiatsu massage is not covered by MSP, but some private insurance companies might cover Shiatsu massage. Please ask your insurance company. Insurance covers very limited therapy, so if you have tried all the therapies under your insurance coverage, yet you still haven't solved your problem, come and see us!

Our Shiatsu massage is amazing, but you also need the right pillow to keep the good condition. If you are not getting this natural healing process properly, try our Japanese buckwheat pillow! It has also been suggested that a pillows surface should be 2-3 degrees lower than the head temperature. Excess heat from the head is transferred to the pillow and dispersed through the hollow buckwheat husks.
