Services
Wellness Exams
Our comprehensive wellness exams focus on preventive care through regular checkups that monitor pet health and detect early disease signs. Veterinarians develop customized preventative plans addressing vaccines, parasite control, nutrition, and weight management. These exams create health baselines and build relationships between pets, owners, and our medical team to improve long-term outcomes.
Orthopedic Surgery
Specialized orthopedic procedures treat skeletal system conditions affecting bones, joints, and ligaments. Our certified surgeons perform fracture repairs, cruciate ligament surgeries, and patellar luxation corrections using advanced techniques. The service addresses mobility issues and pain management through diagnostic testing and tailored treatment plans that consider each pet's age, breed, and health status.
Dental Services
Complete dental care includes routine cleanings, radiographs, extractions, and oral health assessments. Our services prevent and treat dental disease symptoms like bad breath and painful gums while emphasizing the connection between oral health and overall wellness. Advanced cases receive specialist referrals to ensure comprehensive treatment for all dental conditions.
Digital Radiography
Digital radiography provides detailed internal imaging for diagnosing bone fractures, organ abnormalities, and respiratory conditions. This technology enables immediate image viewing, manipulation for better diagnosis, and easy sharing with specialists. The service supports faster, more accurate diagnoses compared to traditional x-ray methods while reducing radiation exposure for pets.
Behavioral Consultations
Behavioral consultations address issues like aggression, anxiety, and inappropriate elimination through veterinary clinical medicine and training techniques. Our team develops customized behavior modification plans that may include environmental changes, training strategies, and medication when appropriate. The service emphasizes understanding root causes to improve pet-owner relationships and reduce stress for animals.

I am new to Alliston, and needed a local vet. We took our cat in recently with some stomach issues. The team was quick to get us booked, and the staff made the curbside check in process as painless as possible.… Dr. Miller did a great job explaining our options over the phone. It also looks like a very nice and clean new building. Much recommended!

I would recommend this clinic, but with many months in this pandemic, it is time to allow humans to participate in their pet's care by being present when services are conducted. Restaurants, movie theaters, sports venues, schools, are all open (now with some passport), but veterinary care is lagging behind with curbside care with things lost in translation. It is the human counterpart that relies on the expertise of the veterinary clinic and hence are the equally patients of the clinic.

Dr. Parker and her staff are compassionate, knowledgeable, and personable. Covid procedures didn’t change anything in quality, and my dogs don’t care - they pretty much pull me to the door to get in and see her staff!

I brought my Yorkie to Dr. Silk for a second opinion on a chronic trachea problem. She was very compassionate, and gave me excellent advice, as well as explaining everything I wanted to know. Together we are working out a plan for treatment. I will be switching vets and returning to Alliston Veterinary Services for all my future vet needs.
