What room amenities are included?

How do I reach Putre from Arica?

The 130km route from Arica takes 3-4 hours by 4x4 vehicle. We recommend renting appropriate transportation due to high altitude (3,500m) and mountainous terrain.

Are meals included?

Continental breakfast with homemade pastries, local cheeses, and fruit juices is included. Additional meals available through local restaurant recommendations.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept major credit cards and Chilean pesos cash. Some tours may require advance payment in local currency for remote area operations.

How to prepare for altitude?

Putre's 3,500m elevation requires gradual acclimatization. We provide coca tea and oxygen upon request. Avoid strenuous activity first day and stay hydrated.

We booked a tour here and it was great. It was only us two and our multi-lingual guide, who was super nice. He took us to places we didnt even know existed i in Parque National Lauca, let us take our time and provided really interesting information. We got to get up close to (and feed) a couple of alpacas, and it should be mentiones that they werent locked in or something, he was just kind of friends with them. Furthermore we got to get really close to both colonies of vizcachas (he knew were these colonies were just at the side of the road) and to large herds of vicuas, and these are just

One of the best hotels in Putre. Run by an Italian couple. Very clean, great customer service and probably the best coffee in Chile!

We stayed at the lodge for two nights to visit the Lauca national park. The rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable, and thanks to the lodge's backup power generation and water supply we could have hot water and electricity also during the frequent blackouts and outages affecting the rest of Putre. Breakfast is also good, with real italian coffee.
Flavio, the host, was very helpful, also arranging for us the tour to the Lauca, and giving us plenty of information on the region, on the animals and plants of the Lauca, and on how to cope with the altitude.
