Dr. Rorke, the founder of our clinic, began working as a veterinarian in the Peterborough area in 1996 after a year or so in Manhattan, where she practiced in a small animal hospital on the Upper West Side. She is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY.
She thoroughly enjoys the clients and patients she meets in our clinic and through our mobile service, which offers veterinary care to patients in their homes locally and sometimes an hour and more away from our base hospital. She shares her home with Buddy, a young orange cat adopted from the Peterborough Humane Society, who's true to his name, and a 4 year old border collie, Tucker Too, also from the PHS.

Alternative and Complementary Therapy
Report
As alternative therapies have become more popular with pet owners, we have added these modalities to the services we offer. Alternative therapies, which are also referred to as "integrative" or "complementary" therapies, include acupuncture and laser therapy. We provide these therapies in conjunction with traditional medicine and surgery to help improve outcomes and to give us additional options for treating our patients.
Medical Services
Report
We are equipped to handle a wide variety of medical conditions, including emergencies. Because we can perform many diagnostic procedures in-house, we can often give you immediate answers and start treating your pet faster. In some cases, your pet may require hospitalization and further diagnostic tests.
Anesthesia and Patient Monitoring
Report
During surgery and other medical procedures, our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians monitors all patients to ensure their safety. We monitor every procedure, regardless of whether it's routine or more advanced. The type of anesthesia we use depends on the procedure. Some require general anesthesia, while others may only call for local anesthesia.
