Services
Emergency Veterinary Services
Our 24/7 emergency services provide critical care for pets outside regular hours through partner hospitals in Calgary. Experienced veterinarians handle trauma, poisoning, and acute illnesses with advanced diagnostic equipment. We coordinate with primary care providers for seamless treatment continuity, ensuring pets receive timely, life-saving interventions when needed most.
Senior Wellness Program
This preventive program detects age-related conditions early through comprehensive screenings. Tailored for mature pets, it includes bloodwork, joint assessments, and organ function tests. Early detection allows management of chronic conditions, improving quality of life and extending healthy years through customized treatment plans developed by our veterinary team.
Diagnostic Imaging
We utilize digital radiography and ultrasound for accurate internal diagnostics. These technologies help identify fractures, organ abnormalities, and soft tissue issues with minimal patient discomfort. Our veterinarians interpret results alongside lab work to develop precise treatment strategies for complex medical cases.
Puppy & Kitten Care
Our Healthy Start Program provides essential vaccinations, deworming, and developmental assessments through four scheduled visits. This foundation-building approach includes nutritional guidance and behavioral counseling to establish lifelong health patterns for young pets, with discounted bundled service packages.
Online Product Store
The 24/7 accessible online store offers prescription diets, medications, and wellness products. Pet owners can order parasite preventatives, supplements, and grooming supplies for convenient home delivery. This service ensures continuous access to critical health products between veterinary visits.

I have been a pet owner for most of my life therefore I have ample vet experience. I would like to say that if you have a pet that you want the best and most thorough care as well as great customer service then Bow River Vet Centre is the place to go! Owner respect and consideration is just as important as pet care. Bow River Vet Centre is great on communication- clear and concise, as well as they are very upfront regarding their charges. I absolutely recommend this centre to all pet owners!

After moving to Canmore we needed a vet and couldn’t be happier with the treatment my dog received at Bow River Vet. The staff was kind, patient and above all, compassionate. My chi x hurt her back somehow and was in a world of pain. I am grateful to have found such a wonderful group of people to care for my little one.
