There are ten Certified Dental Assistants who work in our office. Each CDA has completed the Orthodontic Module Program that is held at the University of British Columbia. They are trained and licensed to carry out a variety of orthodontic duties under the supervision of the orthodontist. Together our CDAs have many years of experience to assist the orthodontists in providing excellent orthodontic treatment for our patients.

While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends visiting the orthodontist around age seven. By this age, most children have a mix of baby teeth and adult teeth, making it easier for the orthodontist to diagnose and correct tooth and jaw problems sooner and without surgery.

Dr. Raymond Chung was raised in Burnaby, BC, where he attended Burnaby North Secondary. He received an Honours Degree in Pharmacology with a double major in Physiology and Psychology from the University of Toronto, and in 1996, he completed his Master's Degree in Pharmacology from the University of Toronto.
