Services
Dental Care
Report
An important factor in helping pets live longer, healthier lives is dental care. Bad teeth and gums not only give pets breath that can melt steel, they can also make them awfully sick. Chronic inflammation from gum disease has been shown to lead to heart, kidney, and liver disease. Illnesses involving these important organs can shorten your pet's life considerably.
Vaccinations
Report
Vaccinations are a safe and proven method of preventing serious illnesses. Annual booster vaccinations combat the gradual decline in protection provided by your pet's immune system that can occur over time. Vaccination protocols at Yellowhead Veterinary Clinic are tailored to individual pets' lifestyles.
Health Exams
Report
Annual health examinations are important to maintain a pet's well-being. A careful examination coupled with a detailed history can find many potential health concerns before they manifest into serious issues that could threaten your pet's well-being. Medical records are kept to track your pet's health over the years.
Nutrition
Report
Fluffy and Fido do not always choose to eat what is good for them. Sometimes you have to wonder just what they were thinking when they were eating some of the things they get into! Fluffy's and Fido's owners do not always choose the best food for their furry friends. Marketing by pet food companies and internet rumours often get owners on the wrong track when it comes to their pet's diet.
Laser Surgery
Report
As we move the laser through the tissue the light beam's heat seals the nerve endings resulting in less pain. The same light energy also caps small blood vessels resulting in less bleeding. A laser doesn't push down on the tissue as it cuts so there is no crushing or bruising resulting in less swelling.
