The eight stages of yoga are abstentions, observances, posture, breath control, withdrawal of the senses, concentration, meditation and absorption. The five yamas or abstentions are non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, celibacy and absence of greed.

The five niyamas or observances are cleanliness, contentment, devoted discipline, study of the scriptures and surrender to God. Here we teach Iyengar Yoga. Iyengar yoga is a systematic approach to the asanas and pranayamas developed by yoga master B.K.S. Iyengar. In Iyengar Yoga the emphasis is placed on alignment of the body, mind and breath.
