After your consultation you will be given a quote for the proposed surgery; if you wish to book surgery this can usually be scheduled within 2 weeks - 3 months. For non surgical procedures such as Botox/Fillers, appointments are scheduled within 1-3 weeks.

Dr Macadam is an Associate Professor (Clinical) within the Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of British Columbia (UBC). She is Head of the UBC Breast Reconstruction Program and the Research Director within the Division of Plastic Surgery. She also is the Director of the UBC Breast Reconstruction Fellowship which trains national and international plastic surgery graduates.

Augmentation

Breast augmentation is performed to enlarge the breast. Women may consider this surgery if they have been unhappy with their breast size for many years. Some women are unhappy with volume changes post-weight loss or post-pregnancy. Many require a breast lift at the same time as augmentation. Breast augmentation may be performed through an incision around the areola, an incision in the breast crease, or an incision in the axilla.
Mastopexy

Mastopexy or "breast lift" is performed to re-shape a breast that has descended (ptosis) due to age, weight loss or post-pregnancy changes. The nipple is no longer centered on the breast mound and is lower than the inframammary fold. The typical candidate for a breast lift is a patient who has recently lost weight or noted change in breast shape due to pregnancy.
