Dr. Gelfant did my breast augmentation 12 years ago, his staff and the environment they create is one where. Breasts, in contrast to what our modern, consumer-driven society and culture are led to believe, are individual and infinitely varied in size, shape, and position. Our biologically driven, visceral brain, however, continue to attach meaning to what it sees, and youthful appearing breast form and volume equate to health in that calculus.

Dr. Benjamin Gelfant has long been a leader in the development & practice of minimum scar breast augmentation. Breast augmentation is a vastly superior operation to what it once was, and the "does she or doesn't she" outcome is far more likely now. Implants are superior and techniques are far more refined.

Breasts come in all sizes and shapes. Sometimes their shape is so different from what once was, you wish something could be done. And sometimes, your breasts have developed in very unusual ways. Breast re-shaping and breast lift is a complex matter. It requires skill and experience for an infinite number of small judgement calls for a satisfying final result.

Many patients come to me with problems from breast augmentation surgery they had done in the past. An original operation aimed to give patients confidence may have had the opposite result. Embarrassment & guilt about having had a "vanity" operation can make the process of returning for further surgery difficult.

Despite the great advances that have been achieved since the advent of Suction Lipoplasty, surgeons and patients are still unable to restore skin elasticity. When weight gain and loss, age, pregnancy and disease cause skin to be loose, more traditional surgical techniques must still be used to tighten skin and re-contour it to the underlying shape.
