Steel Roofing

Our steel roofing systems provide permanent solutions with unmatched durability against Vancouver Island's weather conditions. These non-combustible, maintenance-free roofs resist corrosion, UV damage, and extreme temperatures while offering aesthetic versatility through multiple color options. The lightweight design reduces structural stress while hidden fastening systems ensure clean architectural lines that preserve property value over decades of service.

Gutter Installation

We install seamless aluminum and steel gutter systems with protective guards that prevent debris accumulation and water damage. Our precision-fitted downpipes and custom configurations ensure optimal water diversion while self-cleaning designs minimize maintenance requirements. Professional installation prevents common issues like sagging, leakage, and improper drainage that threaten home foundations and landscaping.

Custom Flashing

Our on-site metal fabrication capabilities produce custom flashing and capping solutions in steel, copper, and aluminum. These critical weatherproofing components are precision-engineered for unique architectural features, ensuring watertight seals around roofs, windows, and transitions while maintaining aesthetic continuity with exterior finishes.

Soffit Replacement

We install ventilated aluminum and vinyl soffits that enhance attic airflow while protecting structural components from moisture damage. Our systems combine functional performance with aesthetic options, including multiple color choices and perforation patterns that balance ventilation efficiency with visual appeal for complete home exterior upgrades.

Island Eco-Siding

This proprietary steel siding solution offers seamless, custom-fitted panels that eliminate maintenance requirements associated with traditional materials. The factory-coated finish resists fading and corrosion while the continuous installation method prevents water intrusion. Available in multiple profiles and colors, it combines architectural versatility with 35% recycled content for environmentally conscious exterior renovations.

Questions

What makes steel roofing a better choice than traditional materials?

Steel roofing outlasts asphalt shingles by decades, resists fire and extreme weather, requires minimal maintenance, and offers superior durability against Vancouver Island's climate conditions.

Do you provide free estimates for exterior home projects?

Yes, we offer complimentary assessments for all exterior products including gutters, siding, and roofing, with flexible scheduling options that don't require homeowner presence.

Can you replace siding without removing existing materials?

We always remove old siding to properly inspect underlying structures and ensure proper installation of new materials for optimal performance and warranty compliance.

What ventilation benefits do your soffit solutions provide?

Our aluminum and vinyl soffits include integrated ventilation systems that prevent moisture buildup, reduce attic heat retention, and extend roof lifespan through improved air circulation.

How does Island Eco-Siding compare to vinyl or Hardie Plank?

Our custom-fitted steel siding eliminates seams, requires no painting or caulking, offers superior durability, and features a factory finish that lasts indefinitely compared to traditional materials.

Installed our gutters but installed two of them improperly so that the water runs away from the downspouts. Called them many times to correct this but they never came to correct the problem and wouldnt return phone calls. The excuse was that they are really busy but its been 1 1/2 years now. They got their money so obviously didnt care. Never again.

Professional from start to finish. Ron took me to see some homes with the same metal roof installed and I got to chat with some very satisfied homeowners! It transformed my home and neighbours have mentioned how much they like it. Quality install. Cleaned up the property very well when done. All done during the height of the pandemic. Came back to make one small adjustment at no additional cost. Worked with my contractor to also do some detail work on a pump house, etc. Highly recommended.

I use this shop for stock and custom gutters and downspouts. Super awesome staff. I've used them in the past for sheet metal roofing and flashing supply, and the experience has always been great. Highly recommend.

I used this company years ago. I found out they use the flavor of the month for installers. The roof still leaks and after multiple inspections from other contractors. They all said the wrong flashing was used. Irwin came out multiple times to try and fix it but it still leaks in multiple places today.

I hired this company to replace my existing gutters. I was flexible enough for the installer to come on a Saturday and Sunday. Even though I paid for removal of all waste, installer left lots of gutter for me to dispose of. I contacted the company and got no reply. Many shards of metal were also left at my house which cut my hand open. I removed all their shards as I have young kids who could cut themselves. I will not pay businesses so quick in future as this company did not care about upholding the contract.

I'm giving 5 stars for one reason , Shane , the installer and his crew . He had a rather tough job , lots of custom corners and some stripping to do. He and his crew member did an excellent considering he had not seen the job prior to getting here. Part of the initial conversation was that the job had to be done in one day due to location and time issues. They managed to get it done and done very well. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the management. At first it didn't look like it might get completed in a day so I called the office , he couldn't have cared less.
