My name is Matt and I am a full time wedding photographer in Kelowna with over 9 years experience. I am an artist, a story teller and a creator of vibrant and colourful imagery. The Okanagan has always taken my breath away with its mountains, lakes and colourful skies and I love incorporating its scenery into wedding portraits while creating images that capture each couple and their personalities in a way that is unique to them.
Photographing weddings is so rewarding for me and I love all of the emotional moments experienced. I have been married to my beautiful wife, Katie, for 14 years now, together for 17, and have four amazing kids, David, Noah, Jacob and Elijah. I am so fortunate to have such a beautiful family and count my blessings every day. While I don't consider myself an "artsy" person by any means, I have been an artist since I can remember.

If you have checked out my other "Top Locations" page you will know that I favour locations with a diverse sort of environment. This is useful if you are planning on doing a full shoot. But for this we are just looking to create one great portrait. Never EVER use on camera flash (little pop up flash or attached speed light aimed at the subject).

While workshops have been placed on the back burner for the time being due to being flooded with weddings, I thought that I would post a tutorial section for those interested. So this first post is more of an intro to portraits that will serve as a base for the posts to follow.
