I earned my dental degree at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario, and then practiced dentistry for a year in Ottawa. This was followed by a two-year stint at the School of Dental Therapy in Fort Smith, NWT, where I taught basic dental procedures to dental therapists and traveled throughout the North; I visited remote communities and set up basic treatment plans for the therapists to follow.
