A number of years ago, I had similar thoughts. It was during my student years when I was really struggling to make ends meet. I had a document that needed to be notarized but I couldn't find anyone willing to notarize it for a reasonable fee. In fact I thought the fees being charged were far too high for the short time it would take to certify my document.

Please note: fees are determined by how many Notary signatures are required; not by how many documents there are. Where you have an original document and you want the Notary to make a certified copy of the original.
Please note: To be legally valid - if you are photocopying multiple documents onto a single page (for example a passport and a driver's licence), each photocopied image on the page must be separately sealed and certified by the Notary - resulting in a fee for each sealed image.When you photocopy the front and back of a document they are counted as just one certified copy, even if they are on separate pages.

Our office is just across Bathurst Street from the Bathurst Subway Station on the Bloor Line (Bathurst Street Exit). Enter through the main doors at 800 Bathurst, go up to the 4th floor. Toronto Notary Public, Suite 402, will be just across the hall on your left. Our office is wheelchair accessible.
