At Balanced Health Integrative Pharmacy we strive to provide the highest level of pharmacy care through a true holistic approach in managing your health with both natural and conventional treatments. On the other hand we also want to be open minded and explore other alternative treatments when conventional medicine fails to address the issue. We also realize there are false claims in both natural and western medicines and at our pharmacy we want to focus on the treatments that really do work - whether that be natural or conventional.

I first started in the pharmacy profession as a pharmacy technician at a large corporate drugstore back in the mid 90's. After realizing I had an aptitude and strong interest for the profession, I pursued my pharmacist education at UBC in 1998. I graduated in 2002 and became a licensed pharmacist. I feel so fortunate and privileged to have practiced pharmacy in a number of different settings.

What is common with all of these pharmacies is everyone sells a fair amount of natural products and there is some promotion of integrative medicine and/or a holistic approach.

A: Yes, absolutely! However, if you are open to it, our goal would be to encourage you to reduce the amount of pharmaceuticals you have to take if possible and to do it in a safe manner. Our founder/owner, Integrative Health Pharmacist Peter Lee, has a vision and philosophy which is very different from his pharmacist colleagues.
