Our artisan Butcher Shop is a local family business located in Gibsons, BC, specializing in fine quality and specialty meat. We pride ourselves in offering a personalized service; custom cuts and special requests are always welcomed. We have two location: The Butcher (Upper Gibsons behind the Blackfish Pub) and The Butcher Express (The Gibsons Public Market).
Our vision was to create a neighbourhood butcher shop where you would want to stay and visit. Where you would see old friends and take a moment to catch up. We want to help you with your dinner and/or entertaining plans.

Adam Vanderwoerd is the owner of The Gibsons Butcher Inc. and is a local to the Sunshine Coast, having lived here all his life. After working at Super Valu as the head butcher, for many years, Adam decided to venture out on his own. His passion for food and fine meats is clear the moment you step into his shop.

We are known for our hand crafted sausages using quality cuts and all natural fresh products. Our sausages are Gluten Free and our numerous varieties change several times a week, you can even get them prepackaged and ready to go.

Our beef comes from 5 sources: Local Gibsons Beef (yes here from the beautiful Sunshine Coast), Meadow Valley Meat, Hanks Chilliwack Grass Fed, New Zealand Grass Fed and Alberta Angus AAA.

Farm Fed products come from high quality birds grown by our local poultry farmers in the Fraser Valley. They are treated humanely and given plenty of natural light and room to move freely in the barns. Their birds are raised on a wheat based diet and are hormone and antibiotic free and certified Halal.
