Creative Dance

Senior Professional School

Goh Ballet Youth Company

Summer Programs

The Nutcracker

Chan Hon Goh
General & Artistic Director
Order of Canada recipient with 20 years as National Ballet of Canada principal dancer. Recognized with multiple international awards, she has led Goh Ballet since 2010, producing acclaimed Nutcracker productions and mentoring emerging artists.
Choo Chiat Goh
Co-Founder
National Ballet of China alumnus established Goh Ballet in 1978. His vision created Canada's first integrated half-day academic program for dancers and developed the Youth Company as a professional training bridge.
Lin Yee Goh
Co-Founder

What age groups do your programs accommodate?
We offer programs for children as young as 3 through professional-level training. Our divisions include Creative Dance (3-6), Junior School (4-13), pre-professional programs, and adult classes.
Do you offer international student opportunities?
Yes, we welcome international students with specialized programs and homestay options. Our graduates have joined companies worldwide, and we provide visa support for qualified applicants.
How do auditions work for new students?
Group auditions occur regularly in Vancouver for ages 4-13+. Private and video auditions available for advanced programs. Assessments determine proper placement into our progressive curriculum structure.
Are there performance opportunities beyond regular classes?
Yes, all students participate in annual showcases. We produce Nutcracker performances with live orchestra and offer international tour experiences through our Youth Company program.
What dance styles do you teach besides ballet?

I have had the privilege of being a Goh Ballet adult student for more than 10 years. I feel so fortunate to have you , my phenomenal professional instructors, Tanya P, Barbara B, Ying Z, Kan G and Adonis D for the past decade. My appreciation for having your instruction is beyond words. These adult classes have been tremendously helpful to me in my daily life to release stress both physically and mentally. You all amazingly make the classes delightful and full of energy even through the most difficult of situations.

I trained there as a youth and it was excellent. I still recall my times at Goh with much love. I remember the original studio on 16th and Arbutus, then Main Dance......Excellent training.
