It was an authentic old-fashioned style neighbourhood butcher shop, small in size but big in character, complete with sawdust covered floors, sides of dry aged-beef, and a 50ft. The name Meridian Meats & Seafood was chosen for our store's location, situated at an intersection on Coast Meridian Road.

One thing we have proven to be true is that good food brings families together. Over the past 30 years, plenty of relatives and whole lot of friends we call family have made our business what it is today. It all started with our Dad, Darrell Penner, who from young age dedicated himself to becoming a master of the butchery trade.

Wagyu is the Rolls Royce of beef, the food of Emperors and Samurai warriors. Our grass-fed & finished Wagyu ribeyes are sweet, nutty, juicy, tender and just downright delicious. Our Wagyu steaks are hand-cut ribeyes with a marble score of 6, which means they're rich and buttery without being overwhelming.
