St John's Christian Nursery School provides a stimulating and rich environment designed to meet the needs of each individual child. Our compassionate educators treat your children with love and respect and follow the foundations of providing a sense of well being, belonging, engagement, and expression.
Depending on your needs, you can choose from 1/2 day morning and afternoon programs for children aged 18 months to 5 years, as well as a 6 hour a day program for children 30 months and up. Our 6 hour program runs between the hours of 8:30-4:30 with many time slots available and catered lunch is served.

On top of all our Educators, and Support Educators St. John's has regular Supply Educators who are familiar with our centre, routines and classrooms. We welcome Early Childhood Education Students, and volunteers from colleges, universities, and high schools. Christine, RECE is the Director at St. John's Christian Nursery School.

Our learning environments are filled with provocations that are inviting to children and promote curiosity:. Our educators strive to make our classrooms feel like home by adding natural materials, soft lighting and giving everyone a sense of belonging. St. John's values outdoor play and the importance of large muscle development in children.

We know that children playing outside is an important component of a child's development. However, many young children today have limited access to nature, and therefore, lack opportunities to gain knowledge about, and respect for the natural world.
By providing an outdoor play space rich in natural elements for children to explore and discover, and curriculum that enhances this learning, we hope to nurture many more friendships with the natural world.

Fundraising

St. John's Christian Nursery School is a non-profit, public Nursery School. To support our program, we coordinate fundraising campaigns with families, alumni and community centres. Information about new fundraising events can be found in the the school newsletter every month. Mabel's Labels is an online store where you can design original and personalized kids' labels!
