How We Measure & Size items

We get items from everywhere and everywhen, with a thrilling but bewildering variety of designers and purposes. We have all sorts of folks of all genders shopping for the exact same kind of gear. We do up the pants and place them flat, measure them in inches across the beltline, and double that. Fashion sizing is close but inaccurate, so always look for a larger inch size than your current pant size tag hints at.

The store is at sidewalk level, with a weird little steep and bumpy sillto get over (I repaired it when I took over, but it's still not easy rolling). The front door is maximum32 across, a bit awkward, and opens outwards. If you bang on the closed door, though, a shopkeeper will come runnin' to open it for you.

You loved this thing, there's nothing wrong with this thing - but now you want something smaller, or bigger, or brown, or with less zippers, or with more zippers, or with more armor. Or you ordered it online and it came out of the package shaped like a human being who is completely dissimilar from you.

Clean Consignment Items

You should remove dust, dirt, bug guts, road salt, pet hair, fluff in velcro, mud from boot soles, and any excessive signs that the item was ever inhabited by a human. Make sure there's no smells like sweat, smoke of any kind, mothballs, mildew or mold. Jeebus, by all that's reasonable, do NOT bring us things stored all winter in the damp garage where a stray cat pee'd on it.
