Central Valley Veterinary Hospital
To ensure that we can continue to provide care for your furry companions, we have implemented safety protocols to keep our team and clients safe. At this time, we are not having any clients come inside our building - if your pet has an appointment or if you are here to pick up food or medication, we ask that you call us when you arrive in the parking lot, and we will come outside to help you!

Please wear your mask and bring your phone when you come to see us so we can all stay healthy and protected. We will call you or come outside to chat with you during the appointment should we have any questions or concerns, thank you. In the Event of an Emergency Please Call Fairfield Animal Emergency Hospital at 250-860-6550!

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us, it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular emergency.
Pet Nutrition
Report
At Central Valley Veterinary Hospital, we are firm believers in the old adage; Let Food Be Thy Medicine and Medicine Be Thy Food! Going to a pet/grocery store to buy pet food can be a very frustrating and confusing exercise nowadays, even if you have a degree in nutrition. Why? Because there is infinite choice and all the labels look similar.
Heartworm Season
Report
It's the time of year for Heartworm Prevention! Once per month from June to November. Give our office a call to get your pet's prevention today. What is Heartworm? Heartworm (dirofilaria immitis) is a parasite that infects dogs and other canine species such as foxes, wolves, and coyotes. Cats can also become infected, although they are more resistant to infection.
Saying Goodbye
Report
When it's time to say goodbye, our staff will be here to support you. If you are considering euthanasia but still question if "it's time, " our veterinarians can help you assess your animal's quality of life and help you with this difficult decision. We try to book our euthanasia appointments during the quiet parts of the day, or at the end of the day so that we have extra time to be with you and your pet.
