A - No, you do not require a prescription to come and see a physiotherapist. However, many insurance plans do require a prescription from a physician before they will cover the service. Please check with your insurance provider as every plan is different. No, you do not require a prescription to come and see a massage therapist.

When treating patients we take into account any other conditions you may have or have suffered from, such as asthma, COPD, previous heart attacks, osteoporosis, etc. This allows us to set up an individualized program for you. During the initial assessment, your physiotherapist will do a comprehensive evaluation of your injury, including body alignment, strength, stability and flexibility.

For over 20 years we have offered massage therapy services at Hunter Physiotherapy. Our registered massage therapists are dedicated to relieving stress, muscle tension and pain through therapeutic and deep tissue massage and work directly with our physiotherapists when required. Massage therapy benefits people of all ages.
Classes

Our Stretch 'n Tone classes are lead by Emily Hunter, RPT twice per week in the evenings. These one hour classes focus on strengthening and stretching in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Cost is $22.50 (once per week) and $45 (twice per week) for a six week session. Drop in rates $5.00. Prices do not include GST.
