I can't recommend Moods enough. I was so nervous about getting my hair done after the lockdown, but that feeling was quickly eased as soon as I walked in. They are practicing strict protocols for their safety as well as their clients; I felt safe and at ease from start to finish. I've had Chad, Johanna, and Curtis all cut and colour my hair.
You can not go wrong with these 3! They don't get offended if you choose to see one or the other. The stylists make you feel comfortable in the chair, whether you're feeling a bit nervous about the cut, or excited. Love this place. THIS SALON, I picked CHAD, a lovely sweetheart of a man and who did EXACTLY as I asked and it turned out actually better and more wonderfully than I had expected!

We have a small team of senior stylists only. If someone successfully completes the hiring process at Moods, they have been considered among the best in Vancouver. Chad, co-owner of Moods with 20+ years of experience, has his work appear regularly in salon and fashion publications. He is regularly called on to be a "hair expert" for the Globe and Mail, Fashion Magazine, and the Vancouver Sun.

Despite being named Canadian Hair Stylist of the Year, Chad is down-to-earth, responsive to requests, approachable and relatively easy to get in to see. The cuts and highlights have been impeccable. Best experience with a salon in years and years. I had the most amazing experience with Jessica. I'm very picky about my hair and she listened to all my concerns and made suggestions based on what had previously been done to my hair.

I grew up in the 70's in one of those families that eat lentils, grew sprouts, made our own clothes and listened to Bob Dylan.
