The history of Steveston Veterinary Hospital, founded in 1974, is rooted in a deep passion for animals and a love of science. It was exactly this that drove Dr. Robert Galloway into a career in veterinary medicine and inspired him to take over Steveston Veterinary Hospital in 1978. Dr. Galloway had a special interest in surgery and gained extensive experience in orthopedic and general surgery cases throughout his 40 + year career.

Yes, appointments are required to see the veterinarian unless it is an absolute emergency. Contact our receptionist to schedule. You will need to pay us for our services up front and then seek reimbursement from your pet health insurance company. The Steveston Veterinary Clinic and its veterinarians are licensed through the College of Veterinarians of British Columbia.
