What emergency services do you offer after hours?
We provide 24/7 emergency care with direct access to veterinary professionals. Small animal emergencies call (250) 832-6069, large animal emergencies call (250) 832-1114. After 10pm, we direct to 24-hour facilities in Kelowna or Kamloops.
Do you treat exotic pets and farm animals?
Yes, we care for cats, dogs, equine, bovine, and exotic pets. Our services cover routine care and emergency treatment for all sizes of animals from household pets to large livestock.
What pharmacy services do you provide?
We offer in-house and online pharmacy services with medications, flea control, and heartworm preventives. All products are properly stored and approved for use in Canada.
How do prescription refills work?
Prescription refills require a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient relationship with annual examinations. Please provide 24 hours notice for standard refills and allow up to one week for special orders.
What locations do you serve?
We operate three clinics in Salmon Arm (main and Felines First locations) and Sorrento. Our service area includes Enderby, Armstrong, Sicamous, and surrounding regions of British Columbia.

Shuswap vet has been great to deal with from normal visits like shots all the way to the worst kind of vet visit, having to put your animal down. Today in particular I woke up to my cats eye not doing well and when I phoned the receptionist said - we are booked but let me fit you in here somewhere cuz the weekend is coming up and we dont want it to possibly get worse over the weekend. So they fit us in because they genuinely care about the well-being of the animal. After recently moving to the Shushwap from the Okanagan and having lived all over the Okanagan and having dealt with at least a handful of vets throughout my time spent there I can say that this vet is the best vet I have ever dealt with! They were extremely kind, knowledgeable and also kept my pocket book in mind. The remedy to my dogs issue was as simple as switching his food back to his normal food from a prescription weight loss food so it is going to be much cheaper now and they even provided me with free nutrition advice with the food my dog eats in order to guide us in his weight loss journey

Dr. Auck worked overtime this week saving our dogs life after he choked on a bone. We are very grateful to Dr. Auck and the lovely staff for treating our dog so well and getting him in so quickly. I would highly recommend this clinic for your beloved pets!
