Keep your mouth and body healthy by having regular cleanings to reduce bacterial levels to help prevent decay and periodontal disease. Regular check ups allow us to spot disease early and intervene if necessary. We recommend children are seen within 6 months of the eruption of their first tooth or by 1 year of age.

Dr. Lawless worked exclusively with children in PEI for 2 years and is very accomplished in making them feel at ease. Parents, caregivers and friends of the patient are encouraged to accompany the child into the room and sit with them. Performed when a tooth can't be repaired due to extensive decay or cracked from an injury.

Our Team
Report
I graduated from the University of Sheffield, Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in 1992 after also attaining my degree as a Registered General Nurse. I have been practising dentistry in beautiful Shawnigan Lake since 2005. My goal is to ensure every patient feels comfortable and provide each person with the highest level of oral care possible.
Emergency
Report
Immediately bite on a clean cloth or gauze after rinsing mouth with salt water (1 teaspoon of salt in a cup of warm water) if available. If you have the tooth rinse it gently, do not scrub, and try to place it back in its socket. If unable to do this, place tooth in a container of milk (any kind of cow's milk) and call our office or Dr. Lawless immediately.
Frequently Asked Questions
Report
We recommend brushing twice daily for 2 minutes with a soft or electric toothbrush. Ask your hygienist for a comprehensive list of dental aids available other than floss. Regular dental check ups and hygiene are recommended every 6/9/12 months depending on your oral health. Periodontal referrals are available for more serious gum disease.
