About Us
Report
Valley Veterinary Clinic was founded by Dr. John Stinson in 1970. For several years he and Dr. Linwood Fisher practised out of his home on Charlotte St. in Carleton Place. They purchased the clinic in the mid 70's and practised out of the current location for many years, servicing the small animal owners of Carleton Place and area and also the agricultural community at large.
Team

Dr. Lea Button is originally from Sioux Lookout, Ontario, in the northwest of the province. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College (Guelph) in 2004. After graduating Lea came to the Ottawa area to work in an equine practice in Embrun where she worked with Standardbred race horses and focused on equine reproduction.
Services
Report
We offer a wide range of services including medical, diagnostic, surgical, and preventive health care needs for your pet so they live a longer, healthier, happier life. One of the best things you can do for your pet is to keep him or her healthy. And one of the easiest and least expensive ways to do that is by bringing in your pet for regular exams and vaccinations.
What to Expect
Report
When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we will usher you into an examination room as soon as we have one available. Our goal is to see all of our clients and patients on time, and although we have contingencies for emergencies, there will be times where the unexpected will create delays.
Wellness and Vaccination Programs
Report
When your pet is presented to our veterinarians, whether for its annual check up or for a medical problem, it will receive a detailed general physical exam. The GPE (general physical exam) consists of detailed history taking and a thorough examination of your pet. The Doctor will advise you of current medical concerns (if any) such as dental disease, as well as ways to prevent future health problems.
