Ballet
Our Ballet program follows Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for ages 3+. Students develop proper technique, grace, and artistic expression through structured lessons. Certified instructors focus on posture, footwork, and classical repertoire while nurturing creativity and discipline in a supportive environment.
Jazz
Jazz classes combine technical training with energetic choreography for ages 5+. Students learn syncopation, isolations, and performance skills while building strength and flexibility. Classes prepare dancers for both recreational enjoyment and competitive routines.
Tap
Tap instruction focuses on rhythm, precision, and musicality for ages 4+. Students develop coordination and listening skills through percussive footwork. Classes range from beginner to advanced levels with opportunities for performance and competition.
Acro

My daughter has been doing dance now 3 years, and is loving everything about it. The staff is so inspiring to all the students, it is such a pleasure to be apart of The Star Dance Academy, Scarborough . A great place!! My daughter loves going there she has been taking dance for 1 year and is back for another year, adding new dance types and classes. The staff is wonderful. I would recommend this Star Dance Academy to all those young kids who want to take a new step...

My daughter has been dancing here for 3 years. She enjoys taking ballet and jazz. The teachers are caring and friendly. The best thing is the huge viewing windows. I can see my daughter for the whole class, unlike our previous studio were we had to watch from a tv screen. I learned about this studio from a friend and we have never looked back. A well kept secret in Scarborough!

Both of my kids have attended Star Dance Academy at different times, and both have had a fabulous experience. The teachers, assistant teachers, staff and other families are all wonderful and helpful.

My daughter loves to dance, but she got nothing from this school. Mid-way through the year she asked if she can quit because she was soo bored. Exact words were "I'm tired of doing the same thing, we just run around in circles"
