Everyone over the age of 12 can register for vaccination. This means that when you qualify for a vaccine by age, you can be contacted and get an appointment. If you do have to attend the office, please come alone if you an able bodied adult. One adult can attend with a child, but try to leave other children at home or with others.

Periods: Again from the SOGC, an excellent website with everything you ever wanted or needed to know about periods! The North American Menopause Society is also a very useful source of evidenced based information.
Telemedicine

During the current pandemic, we are trying to keep as many people out of our office as possible, whilst still being able to meet their immediate needs. You may be offered a telemedicine appointment if appropriate. Obviously we realize not everyone will be able to manage this and many concerns can be dealt with by phone alone.

Unfortunately, all our doctors have full lists at present and cannot take on new patients. With mixed emotions, I wish to inform you that I have decided that the time has come for me to retire. It is extremely difficult to find another doctor to take over, so I feel very fortunate in finding Dr Annerie Fourie to take over my practice.
Appointments in our office

Please update us as soon as possible, don't wait until your next visit, we may need to contact you beforehand. Appointments are for one patient only, feel free to ask if someone else can be briefly seen but please don't be offended if it is not possible. We bill $35 for a missed appointment and $75 for a missed longer appointment eg IUD insertion, minor surgery.
Forms

It would be helpful to say whether there is a strict deadline. We have no time to do forms during our day at the office, we have to do them in our personal time at home. For that reason, please allow 2 weeks for completion and longer if the doctor is on vacation. Unfortunately most forms have to be paid for by the patient as most insurance companies will not pay.
