Capital Periodontics
Dental implants are essentially artificial tooth roots. They can be used to replace a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, support a denture or restore an entire mouth. A periodontist is a dentist who has completed a university post-graduate specialty program in periodontics. Periodontal disease is a group of conditions affecting the tissues that support the teeth.

This group includes gingivitis, periodontitis and gum recession among many other conditions. This course focused on building bone vertically and horizontally in order to place dental implants. We have followed - and exceeded - the guidelines of the Ministry of Health and. The RCDSO will revisit these recommendations in the first week of April.

Crown lengthening is indicated for teeth with deep fillings that need crowns or teeth that are fractured before a filling or crown is to be placed. Management of gum recession consists primarily of two types of treatments, both of which involve gum grafting. Periodontal Disease, or "gum disease", is the breakdown of the gums and bone surrounding the tooth, as a result of plaque and tartar build-up.
