Dr. Kevin Trieu attended the University of Calgary, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. He then completed his Doctorate in Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010. Having a background in these two, distinct disciplines has granted him a unique perspective and appreciation for eye care - namely that eye care, like many other professions, requires an ever evolving approach to solve modern problems.
Following graduation in 2010, he proudly worked at the Hispanic Institute for Blindness Prevention, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to reach the under-served communities in the Virginia and Washington D.C. metro area. During this time, his passion for eye health was further affirmed as he experienced, first hand, how vision affected his patients' and their family's quality of life.
