Please call the clinic ( 780 428-8802) to check-in. If phone lines are busy please walk in the small lobby and let us know you are here. We will come to your car and pick up your pet. While you wait in your car, the veterinarian (or staff) can communicate with you by phone ( OR VIA VIDEO-CHAT IF YOU PREFER) and will be responding to any concerns you might have.

We will examine your pet and a treatment plan will be communicated to you, if treatment is necessary. As always, we will not proceed with any testing and treatments or procedures without your pre-approval. You can pay for the services over the phone or walk in the small lobby and the pet will be brought back to you.

Report
An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! Cats and dogs are masters at hiding illness and pain, in nature this would be a sign of weakness. Yearly health exams help identify any hidden diseases or pain conditions. Here at Glenora Family Pet Clinic our goal is to promote routine wellness plans to maintain a healthy, pain free pet for as long as possible.
Bunny spay neuter
Report
Why spay or neuter rabbits? There are good reasons to have your bunny spayed or neutered. The 2 major reasons are related to their physical and behavioral well being. Rabbits who are left intact are at an increased risk of uterine ( uterine adenocarcinoma is a malignant type of cancer that is unfortunately quite common in intact females ) and testicular cancers.
Puppy classes
Report
Our goal is for puppies and families to have fun and learn together. We also want the hospital to be viewed as a safe and happy environment. Between the age of 5 and 16 weeks puppies are especially open to exploring new surroundings. Puppies that are not exposed to a variety of stimuli until 10 weeks of age or later can become fearful of unfamiliar sights and sounds.
Vaccinations
Report
We recommend starting the vaccination series at 7-8 weeks of age. This vaccine need to be repeated ( boostered ) every 3-4 weeks until over 14 weeks of age. Another vaccine called Bordetella or ( Kennel cough) is recommended at this age specially if you will attend puppy classes. Moreover, if you live in the area around our clinic, exposure with other dogs may be inevitable due to the high urban density.
Dental health
Report
Dental health is becoming more and more prevalent as the quality of care for our pets improves. There is still a huge number of cats and dogs with some form of dental disease but we hope to bring this number down by educating owners on the importance of looking after your furry friend's smile.

We have found that the most important questions get brought up all the time by clients so the easiest way to tell you about dental care in your pet is to let you read the following frequently asked questions. We welcome you to call or email if you have any questions that are not answered here or if you have some specific concerns about your cat or dog!
