646 Weightlifting Gym was established in Toronto, Canada to promote and encourage youth and adult participation in Olympic Weightlifting. Our 1,300 sq ft indoor facility promotes air circulation through our HVAC system, 16 ft ceilings and 2 garage doors. Our Youth Weightlifting Program gives youth athletes the opportunity to learn Olympic Weightlifting in a safe and supportive environment.

Our Strength & Power Training Program combines barbell training with core exercises to ensure a healthy and fit lifestyle. Our Remote Programming & Coaching is designed for athletes who train remotely or train without access to an experienced, knowledgeable and Certified Weightlifting Coach. Our Personal Training is available in one-on-one or small group training sessions for clients with various backgrounds, needs and goals.

What is Olympic Weightlifting

The sport of Olympic Weightlifting is composed of 2 main lifts, the Snatch and the Clean & Jerk. In an official competition, each athlete is allowed 3 attempts in the Snatch and 3 attempts in the Clean & Jerk. The heaviest successful attempt from each the Snatch and Clean & Jerk is counted. This is your final total.
Olympic Weightlifting

For those new to Olympic Weightlifting, you'll learn the squat, pull, overhead press, snatch and clean & jerk. Develop strength and speed, and reach your personal goals! Our Foundations Course is one-on-one sessions with a 646 coach, designed to teach you the basics of barbell training or Olympic Weightlifting.
Youth Weightlifting

We give youth athletes the opportunity to learn Olympic Weightlifting in a safe and supportive environment. We believe in the importance of teaching youth athletes confidence and respect. Our goal is to give youth athletes (ages 20 and under) the opportunity to learn Olympic Weightlifting in a safe and supportive environment, while developing them into confident and respectful athletes.
Remote Programming & Coaching

Filming your own lifts to find and correct your faults seems almost impossible. This is why we're (finally) offering you an alternative. For weightlifters who train remotely or train without access to an experienced, knowledgeable and Certified Weightlifting Coach, we're here to help.

Our programming is carefully designed by Paul Medeiros, Coach of 646 Weightlifting Club, to target and improve technique and strength in Olympic Weightlifting for beginner, intermediate/advanced and masters athletes.Your membership as a remote athlete gives you access to daily video analysis and unlimited communication with Paul Medeiros, plus 2 FREE visits to 646 Weightlifting Gym!
