Vaccinations, Wellness Exams & Heartworm Tests
Report
Prevention is key to ensuring your pet lives a longer healthier life. Wellness and vaccination programs are designed to prevent diseases and are often less costly than disease treatment once your pet is already infected. For example, if your pet gets kidney disease and its diagnosed early, we can modify your pet's diet or add supplements to potentially extend their life.
Medical consults at your convenience
Report
Book a medical consultation at a time that's convenient for you. We schedule 15 to 30 minutes to examine a sick pet and take the time to explain our recommendations for diagnosis, treatment and monitoring of your pet's condition. Consultations are available at Elmvale Veterinary Hospital Monday to Saturday including evenings.
Surgery
Report
Most routine surgeries allow for your pet to go home the same day - except for feline declaws which stay in hospital for 2 nights. At Elmvale Veterinary Hospital, we offer spays and neuters for dogs, cats, ferrets and rabbits. Surgeries take place in the morning, and we're open at 7:30 a.m. for an early drop-off.
Orthopaedic Surgery
Report
Dogs and cats don't make good candidates for casts and splints to repair fractures because they can't keep the cast or splint dry and often chew it. Dr. Storimans has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and prefers using an internal fixation to repair fractures. Orthopedic surgery involves the use of stainless steel or titanium pins, plates, wires and screws to repair broken bones.
